The Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) is the sole regulated securities exchange in Croatia and the country's central marketplace for trading equities, bonds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and other financial instruments. Established in 1991, ZSE plays a vital role in the development of the Croatian capital market by providing a transparent, efficient and secure trading environment for domestic and international investors.
In addition to operating the regulated market, ZSE manages the Progress Market, a multilateral trading facility designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in accessing growth capital. The Exchange also promotes financial literacy, corporate governance, sustainability and broader participation in the capital market through educational initiatives and cooperation with market participants.
Zagreb Stock Exchange is the 100% owner of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the largest individual shareholder of the Macedonian Stock Exchange, underscoring its commitment to strengthening and integrating capital markets across Southeast Europe.
As a member of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE), Zagreb Stock Exchange actively cooperates with European and international capital market institutions to support the continued development and integration of Croatia's financial market.
Through continuous innovation, market development initiatives and close collaboration with issuers, investors, regulators and financial institutions, the Zagreb Stock Exchange facilitates access to capital, enhances market transparency and contributes to the long-term growth and competitiveness of the Croatian economy.
