RED FORK is a Croatian research, innovation and consultancy company specialising in nutrition, food quality, institutional catering and sustainable food systems. Founded in 2016, the company supports public authorities, healthcare institutions, schools, kindergartens and food-service operators in improving the nutritional quality, safety, sustainability and efficiency of their services. It owns and develops the Healthy Meal Standard (HMS) https://healthymealstandard.eu a science-based certification standard applied across kindergartens, schools, hospitals, and hotels. HMS is independently audited under ISO/IEC 17021 and is EU-trademark protected, giving certified institutions credible, third-party assurance on nutritional quality and food-safety governance. RED FORK has also contributed to several European research and innovation projects and was selected as a partner in the winning Horizon Europe JUST-CIRCLE project, focused on circular economy solutions and sustainable institutional food services. RED FORK is actively pursuing international expansion, led by founder and director Diana Gluhak Spajić, a doctoral candidate in Nutrition, RED FORK combines academic rigour with commercial application to raise nutritional standards in public and private catering across Europe.
