The British Business Chamber Croatia (BBCC) and the Croatian Olympic Committee hosted an exclusive reception in honour of legendary British rowing athlete Steve Williams OBE.
Steve is a dual Olympic gold medalist and four-time World Championship gold medalist. Demonstrating an extraordinary spirit of endurance, he also skied to the Geographic North Pole and successfully summitted Mount Everest in two remarkable back-to-back expeditions in 2011.
The event gathered distinguished representatives of the Croatian Olympic Committee, over 80 BBCC members and guests, and His Excellency Javed Patel, the British Ambassador. Attendees were captivated by Steve’s powerful presentation, which featured striking videos and photographs from his rowing and mountaineering adventures.
More than just a recount of extreme feats, Steve seamlessly translated lessons learned under intense environmental and psychological pressure into actionable insights for corporate team building. A key takeaway for the audience was his philosophy that individual team members stepping outside their comfort zones directly elevates the performance of the collective team.
